Cognitive Therapy Group
Sagebrush Speech Therapy patients have the option of participating in our cognitive therapy group.
This group is designed for patients experiencing:

Stroke
-
Traumatic Brain Injury
-
Long-COVID
-
Multiple Sclerosis
-
Concussion
Each session is set up in a "learn, collaborate, and plan" structure.
The "learn" portion includes a 5-10 minute education on researched based brain injury information or approaches from the speech therapist. Topics such as self-advocacy, memory improvement, navigating relationships after a brain injury, and strategies for improve sleep could be covered.

The "collaborate" section involves each member sharing their perspectives and experiences on the topic with one another.
​
Finally, members "plan" how they will reasonably implement strategies and information reviewed + learned in real life. Members commonly pick one strategy or piece of information to apply over the next month.

Neurogenic Cognitive Therapy group runs in three-month cohorts. This means patients can sign up for three months at a time.
